This was a post by Hanna, whose mood mirrors the weather. She is currently feasting on graphic novels because they make her happy. She is now reading Undeleted Scenes by Jeffrey Brown.

This was a post by Hanna, who has a lot of homework to do. She just had a lovely dinner with the boy and a quick stroll around the city before going home. Later, she plans on eating cereal. She is currently reading this brilliant book.
Clicking on the photo will take you to the home base of a talented man named Matt Roeser, who designs book covers.

I am envious of artists who travel because they can preserve the memory of a place with drawings. Currently reading on a Friday night.
A post by Kubi who is surprisingly still awake.

This was a post by Hanna, who really should go back to work. Seriously. She is currently reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. (She apologizes for the crappy photo. She was half-asleep when she took it.)

Dear Kubi,
Happy birthday to my partner in book hoarding, school girl crushes, and cake. I love you to the moon and back.

Last year was, indeed, a good year for reading but it was also the busiest and most stressful year that we’ve had so far. Naturally, we turned to books and films for refuge.
Our mutual favorites for last year are those that have made us squee with delight and giggle like blushing school girls with crushes:
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour...

BBC has aired the last episode for Sherlock this season. *SOBS* (Sidebar: Sherlock 3 confirmed!) As a gesture of fraternity and a measure for consolation (though Chabon’s prose can hardly be thought of as merely consolation), I am currently reading The Final Solution by Michael Chabon. It may (or may not) be about an elderly Sherlock Holmes.

Kubi’s Favorite Reads for 2011:
2011 was a busy year for me. I moved back to The Big City, jumpstarted my academic train wreck career, and took on a new job. It’s been tricky in the way of finishing books, as demonstrated admirably by my meager list. But I’ve been lucky, because I only ended up reading books I either liked or loved (thanks, in large part, to Hanna and her...

This is a worn but much loved copy of a book that has gotten me through the long queues in school today and the incessant clawing of the monster in my tummy.

as we do each year
to focus on the past year
casting crumbs of bread
symbolizing our sins, our mistakes
into the water
and I say I will have to cast a whole
loaf of bread
or several
to equal enough crumbs
for all my mistakes
this past year
